We were greeted with genuine smiles and a very welcoming vibe, it immediately felt like they wanted us there. We had a 30-minute wait, which was totally fine as we enjoyed some drinks at the bar. The bartender was attentive and made excellent drinks. We were seated outside in the beautiful courtyard area after less than 15 minutes. There were plenty of fans, a big TV showing the World Cup games, and the vibe out there was super awesome. Service was very good throughout. We ordered the ribeye, ceviche, and guacamole. Everything was amazing! The ribeye was carved in front of us and cooked perfectly to medium-rare, very tasty and exactly what you’d expect from authentic North Mexican meat. The ceviche and guacamole were also delicious. We loved the complimentary tortillas and salsa too, they were fantastic. Drinks were flowing, the World Cup atmosphere was fun, and the service was top-notch. Highly recommend! A fantastic spot with great food, vibes, and hospitality.

We had such a great experience here! The outdoor patio has such a beautiful, relaxed vibe. It’s perfect for catching up with friends. The food was delicious, the drinks were well-made, and everything came out fresh and flavorful. What really stood out was the staff. We had a large table, and they handled it so smoothly. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and patient, which made the whole experience even better. The only small downside was that it was particularly windy that day, and a few leaves ended up falling into our food and drinks since we were seated outside. Of course, that’s part of patio dining and not really the restaurant’s fault - just something to keep in mind on windy days. Overall, we’d absolutely come back and would definitely recommend it for the atmosphere alone!

Outstanding Contemporary Meat & Cocktails in Monterrey! We were walking around the outskirts of Barrio Antiguo early in the evening when the hunger pangs hit. A quick search of my go-to list reminded me that Jabalina was nearby. Since we hadn't made reservations, we decided to just pop in and see if we could get lucky, and we were! They had space for us right away. The setting is gorgeous. It’s an old colonial building that has been beautifully transformed into a sleek, very modern restaurant with an open kitchen where you can watch all the culinary magic happen. The Drinks & Starters: Right off the bat, I ordered a mezcal cocktail with a hint of rosemary and pineapple, which was fantastic. To our surprise, they brought out a giant welcome chicharrón but instead of pork, it was made of flour and accompanied by a sampling of about seven different salsas. Each one of us at the table found a different favorite! The Food: Of course, when you are in Monterrey, you have to eat the meat. We started with the real pork chicharrón (made famous by the Ramos family) served alongside a very well-executed guacamole. It was massive honestly enough to feed an army, and that was just the appetizer! For the main course, we ordered what was listed on the menu as a ribeye, though it looked and ate much more like a massive T-bone steak. Beautifully cooked and incredibly flavorful. We paired the meal with a couple of other delicious cocktails, though we also noticed they have an excellent selection of Mexican and Spanish red wines (tintos). The Grand Finale: The one thing we absolutely had on our list to try was the dessert: the fig cake. It was absolutely delicious, but just like the rest of the meal, the portion was huge, so we had to take the rest home with us. All in all, it was an expensive meal, but between the top-tier meats, the creative drinks, and the beautiful contemporary surroundings, it was well worth every single peso. Highly recommended!

The space was so grounding and the ambience was inviting. At 1 point a server walked around with palo santo to cleanse the space. It was amazing. The food was outstanding. We started with chicharrons and different salsas (this is complimentary) then we had the cauliflower, octopus ceviche, and 7 ashes steak. Chefs kiss. The seasoning on the steak was insane and the cauliflower was so tender. The octopus ceviche was the best I’ve ever had, it was citrusy but also fruity which was an interesting balance. There was also a crunchy herb on top that really gave it that umph.

Let me just start by saying that this is a Micheline star awarded restaurant and there is a reason for it. Deep in the downtown are of Monterrey by the Macroplaza, this restaurant is huge. It has a super friendly and amazingly trained staff, a huge bar and they can make you any drink you want. They have lots of tacos, and a melted cheese appetizer you need to get. But they are best known for their special steak and dessert. Need to try them for sure

Jabalina delivered a memorable meal with both flavor and hospitality. From the start, the service was attentive, friendly, and well paced. The guacamole arrived fresh and vibrant, setting the tone. Shrimp tacos were crisp and bright, while the beef ribs were tender, smoky, and deeply satisfying. The skirt steak was cooked perfectly, juicy with a great char, and paired well with a refreshing salad. Even the fried cauliflower impressed, crunchy outside and flavorful within. Portions felt generous without being heavy, and everything came out promptly. Jabalina balances bold cooking with warm service, making it a spot we’d gladly return to for casual nights or celebratory dinners with friends alike often.

This place is amazing! We were told it would be an hour wait. It was only 20 minutes. They also served us free beer as we waited. Our server was great and spoke English. The food was OUTSTANDING! I ate too much. They provide 6 sauces of all varying spice levels. The mezcal is great too.

The food is fantastic, the music is lively and the building and setting are really nice. Highly recommended! Had the nuclear ceviche and the arrachera tacos and both were FANTASTIC! Would absolutely come back. Full English menu. The English among the servers varies a lot but with Google Translate I got by. :)
