Mendl’s in Mexico City is such a beautiful place calm, inviting, and effortlessly charming. Surrounded by plants all over, it creates a relaxing atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer. The food is delicious, and the coffee is just as good. It’s the perfect spot for breakfast or brunch. Everything feels clean, thoughtfully designed, and the staff is warm, gentle, and genuinely welcoming.

Everything was exceptional! We went on a Sunday during peak hours and expected a wait, they quoted 45 and it was 30. It’s great they have a place to order coffee and a pastry while you wait. I had the Rueben and it was just simply phenomenal. The homemade bread was perfect and the sauerkraut was not over the top, totally balanced flavours! The service was great and very attentive. Will definitely be going back to try more of the dishes!

We had an amazing experience at Mendl Delicatessen and I can confidently say it’s one of the best deli spots we’ve visited in NYC! First of all, the bread is baked and made in-house, and you can absolutely taste the difference. Fresh, soft, flavorful, and sooo delicious. Every sandwich we ordered was incredibly tasty, generously filled, and made with high-quality ingredients. You can tell they really care about what they serve. We waited about 15 minutes to get in, which is totally reasonable considering how popular this place is. It was well worth the wait. We came with two babies and strollers, and the experience was very comfortable. We were able to keep the strollers in the front, and the seating setup was spacious and kid-friendly. That made a huge difference for us as parents. It’s not always easy to find a deli that’s both trendy and accommodating for families, but they really made it work. The interior design is absolutely beautiful, modern, warm, and just as gorgeous as it looks in the photos and videos online. It has a welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. If you’re looking for fresh in-house baked bread, delicious sandwiches, a family-friendly environment, and a beautiful dine-in experience in New York, this is definitely the spot. Highly recommend and we’ll absolutely be back!

The place is incredible, you can enjoy a beautiful view of Condesa right from the restaurant, which makes the experience even more special. And what better choice than ordering the house specialty: the curated salmon. I highly recommend pairing it with a good coffee and fresh juice. To finish, don’t miss out on the pastries, especially the banana bread which it’s the perfect ending.

As New Yorkers, we take our bagels seriously, and Mendl Delicatessen absolutely delivered. The bagels are legit, and the lox with their fresh spreads was so flavorful and satisfying. It genuinely felt like a taste of home in CDMX. The space itself is just as impressive, beautifully decorated with lush greenery that makes the whole place feel fresh and inviting. Even the bathroom had its own unique charm, which says a lot about the attention to detail here. Such a great breakfast spot. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in CDMX!

One of my favorite brunch spots in the city. I try to go during the week as there is usually no wait time, but even on a Saturday the wait is only 10-15 mins. The service is okay and the tables are a bit small, but I’m addicted to the turkish eggs and blintzes so I’m willing to overlook small inconveniences. The sourdough is also top. Haven’t tried the pastries but they look delicious, and there is always a long To Go line so I assume they’re worth the wait.

Mendl was a delightful restaurant stop on our trip to Mexico City. The service was attentive and hospitable, and the food was excellent! We enjoyed each item we tried, and only wish we had room to try more. The quantities were plentiful, and we left quite full! Mendl is in a cute neighborhood for wandering after dining, as well. We truly enjoyed our meal and experience at this restaurant and would highly recommend a stop for a unique menu and dining experience.
